NSCR EZ CYCLING COURSE

EZ Cycling bridges the gap between special populations and Studio Cycling. You will see that it goes beyond just sitting and pedalling on specially designed recumbent bikes. With the correct motivation there is an amazing potential to reach new target groups and expand the possibilities within your fitness classes. The NSCR is now running one day courses to qualify fitness professionals so that they can run successful EZ Cycling classes in their clubs.

The couse format will consist of:
  • Three practical sessions (for your observation, participation with correct structure)
  • Several practical interaction sessions (teaching new skills, safety, techniques and control)
  • Theory (workshop format on flipchart, covering all relevant areas within the EZ Cycling manual)
  • Practical and written exam
The original EZ Cycling concept came from the idea of a more simple and accessible spin bike known as recumbent cycling, bringing special populations and variety into a studio allowing all ages and abilities to experience the same feeling and buzz that studio cyclists get every time they ride in a group. With a little time and effort you can understand and benefit from teaching EZ Cycling. The club members training will develop and flourish.
A simple, comfortable bike, bio mechanically developed so that almost everyone can ride in the class. Classes can be targeted for many special populations and the result is EZ Cycling. "Exercise for everyone".
Recumbent cycling is in fact a great leisure activity enjoyed by many people all over the world outside of the health club environment. It is easy to understand this form of exercise and develop the type of exercise that will turn it into the most popular class in your club.
The word 'recumbent' originates from the Latin meaning 'to lie down'. Generally, all definitions of a recumbent cycle agree that it is a machine where the rider sits in a seat with legs in a horizontal position.
